This Housing guide is intended as an information portal for players looking to understand the renting and purchasing of houses on Alterworld Online.

House Rental, Settlers Island

• Players and Guilds can rent housing (in the form of land property and Ocean property) at Settlers Island
• Settlers Island can be found as an option on the Alterworld Online travel portal, located in the major cities
• Players can rent a maximum of 1 property on Settlers Island
• The price of the rental property is determined by the size, lock-down capacity and position
• Player vendors are able to be placed on your property for players to shop items you chose to put on the market

Alterworld Custom Housing

• Visit the Foreman NPC (can be found in the major cities on Alterworld Online)
• The Foreman will house drafting desk for custom Alterworld Online housing deeds
• Use the house drafting desk to create housing recipes
• Open the recipe to see the items you will need to fulfill on the recipe in order to obtain the deed for the house
• Once the recipe is fulfilled, return the recipe to the foreman to trade for the Deed you have fulfilled
• Use the deed to place the house on Alterworld Online

Alterworld Custom Housing - Housing Recipes

• To create a housing recipe, you will need to purchase a 'house drafting desk' from the Foreman NPC located in each major city on Alterworld Online
• Lockdown your house drafting desk in your home
• Select the house recipe you're looking to obtain (see houses page for details on Alterworld Online custom housing)
• Depending on the complexity of the house, a minimum construction and inscription skill (or minimum combined skill) will be required to create the recipe
• Recipe's require housing items in order to complete
• Once the recipe is complete, return to the foreman NPC and provide the foreman NPC your completed house recipe to obtain the custom house deed
• Adding items to Housing recipes will increase your Construction skill in your Extended Skills on Alterworld Online
• Housing items can be found via Harvesting or Rare Monster Loot
• Adding items to Housing recipes will not always be successful on your attempt
• Success rate of adding items to recipes is determined by your construction skill level
• Success rate will increase as you master the relevant housing skills aligned to the task you're completing in the recipe
• While adding items to Housing Recipes, you have a 10% (1/10) chance of losing the item on each failed attempt
• Becoming a grandmaster in construction will decrease the gold outlay, making deed sales more profitable for the player on the market

Alterworld Custom Housing - Construction Skill (Extended Skills)

• Construction skill are gained through adding/completing items on the housing recipes
• To create a housing recipe, you will need to purchase a 'house drafting desk' from the Foreman NPC located in each major city on Alterworld Online
• Lockdown your house drafting desk in your home
• Select the house recipe you're looking to obtain (see houses page for details on Alterworld Online custom housing)
• You can source the relevant items required to complete a Housing Recipe through Harvesting skills or PVM as Rare Monster Loot
• Once you have completed a recipe, return to the Foreman NPC in town and show the Recipe to the Foreman
• In exchange for the completed recipe, he will provide you the Housing Deed that can be placed on a free plot of land across Alterworld Online
• Note: Each player on Alterworld Online is allowed 1 house per account. Please ensure this rule is followed or your house will be automatically removed from the world

Alterworld Custom Houses

• Alterworld custom houses can be found here
• Alterworld custom houses can not be purchased via the house placement tool or vendors. They are only available by completing recipes through foreman and using Alterworld's construction skills.

Standard House Deeds & Placements

• Visit the town's Foreman NPC
• Deeds to houses are available to players to purchase if they are unable to afford or craft there own Alterworld Custom House
• Purchase the house you would like and place the house deed on an available piece of land on Alterworld Online

Player Vendors

• Player Vendors are only available to be placed on an player owned or rental property/house on Alterworld Online

House Placement Location

• The placement and positioning of your property is an important consideration
• Having an owned house, that is close to a busy town entrance or popular player area (e.g. Travel Portals) will increase visibility of your player vendor and provide more opportunity for transactions / gold to be spent by other players
• Having a rental property on Settlers island, close to the busiest areas of the island (e.g. The Travel Portal or highly populated rental area) will increase visibility of your player vendor and provide more opportunity for transactions / gold to be spent by other players
• If you would prefer a discreet location, you may be able to battle this disadvantage by fantastic marketing on discord, ingame or our forums

House Interior Design

• In order to make adjustments to locked or secure items in your property, purchase an interior design tool from the Architect NPC
• Double click the interior design tool to provide you with options on what you can adjust
