Greetings fellow Alterworld Online traveller. This New Player Guide will provide information to new and returning players to Alterworld Online. It will cover key topics from intallation, character creation, race selection and key information you need to know to get started.

Getting Started

General Shard Information

  • Accounts per IP: 3
  • Characters per Account: 5
  • Houses per Account: 1
  • Skill cap: No cap
  • Statcap: 300
  • Ruleset: Alterworld Custom Felucca

Creating a Character

  • Character Name and Sex
  • Optional: Select a name that will align to the race you intend to select

Selecting your Race

  • You have three Races to select from. Human, Dryad and Varkolak
  • Visit Race Information for a detailed view of the Races, starting perks, unique skills and attributes, and the unique race XP levelling system
  • When you arrive at the Alterworld Online Docks, you can explore and discuss your Race options with the Race NPC's
  • Read and select the Race that you would like to join.

Race Starting Skills

  • When you arrive in Cove, New Player Town, you will be prompted to select 2x skills to be set at 65. The remaining skills on your race list will start at 35. The skills that you will have an option of selecting will be dependant on the race you select. Choose Race Skills wisely!

Arrived in Cove, What do I need to know? What are the key places I need to visit?

  • Cove, New Player Town, does not allow criminal action against other players. You are free to train your character, without fear of harmful activity against you
  • Cove, New Player Town, has a 2.5x boost on skills gain up to 80 skill points (you will not be able to gain a skill past 80 at Cove) - excluding crafting related skills
  • New Player Dungeon, attached to Cove, has a 3.5x boost on skills gain up to 80 skill points (you will not be able to gain a skill past 80 at Cove or the New Player Dungeon) - excluding crafting related skills

Training Centre

  • Buy cheap training weapons from the 'Weapons Specialist' located in the training centre
  • Attack the Battle Trainer (magic or mele) to gain stats and skills. This will prepare you for the many wonders of Alterworld Online.
  • Training can be done AFK

New Player Dungeon

  • New Player Dungeon, attached to Cove, has a 3.5x boost on skills gain up to 80 skill points (you will not be able to gain a skill past 80 at Cove or the New Player Dungeon) - excluding crafting related skills
  • New Player Dungeon is located South West of the main square
  • To enter the New Player Dungeon, you must be on foot (no mounts are allowed)
