This Events guide is intended as an information portal for players looking to understand the Alterworld Online daily events.

Event Gates

  • The commencement of the event will be broadcasted 1hr prior to starting, after which event gates will open outside major city banks

City Rebellion

Summary

City Rebellion is a bi-daily (twice-per-day) town event inspired by the "Town Struggles" on the Outlands shard.

  • These are domination-style matches where players capture and control points to earn PvP points and other bonuses!
  • There are *3 potential City Rebellion locations, chosen at random and announced 1 hour before the event starts.
  • Players who join the event but remain AFK for 6 minutes or more will be removed from the event (and ejected from the base if inside) and temporarily blocked from participating in further events for 48 hours.
  • Once a City Rebellion ends, all participants are returned to the Assembly Area.
  • Currently, only Britain is activated while the event is being fine-tuned.
  • There are 5 possible capture zone locations, with 3 selected randomly at the event start.
  • There are 3 spawn locations.
  • Both the capture zones and spawn points should appear on your ClassicUO map (assuming it is up-to-date).

How to enter the event

  • To enter the City Rebellion, enter the City Rebellion gate located outside the major city banks to the assembly hall

  • Remain in the assembly hall until the commencement of the event
  • Double click the City Rebellion stone to see information on the event scheduled

What happens when the event begins

  • When the event begins, two teams will be formed by assigning all players present in the Assembly Hall to teams based on their XP levels.
  • A control panel will automatically open, allowing each team to select areas within the assigned city (e.g., Britain).

  • If this panel is closed, a compact "Hotbar" will appear. You can reopen the full panel by clicking the + button at the top right of the Hotbar.
  • The panel displays the 3 capture zones on the left, followed by the spawn locations.
  • Once a zone is captured, only the capturing team can spawn there. Team members can also use the "Port" ability to teleport to that location with a 30-second cooldown.
  • Coordinate with your team to select a spawn zone together. For best results, join the Alterworld Online team Discord to communicate your strategy.

Scoring System

  • Each city has 3 control zones.
  • Every 10 seconds, an event check occurs at each control zone to determine scoring.
  • If a team controls a zone with no enemy members present, they will earn points. The points awarded scale based on the number of players in the event.
  • When a player is killed, the player who dealt the most damage will be credited with the kill, which will be displayed in the event summary.
  • If a team member dies, the opposing team will steal a set number of points from them. This starts at 30 points and decreases as the event progresses.
